Innovation Pitchfest provides a platform for innovators to reach an international audience of potential customers, partners or investors at Indo Pacific 2023 International Maritime Exposition. The program includes a series of three minute pitches which demonstrate a range of Australian innovations, research collaborations or projects. Innovation Pitchfest participants are offered training in the art of the pitch in the lead up to the event and may include defence, industry, start-ups or Publicly Funded Research Organisations (PFRO). Pitchers are encouraged to craft their presentation around the following points:
- Uniqueness and novelty (ie your innovation).
- Application or end goal of the innovation.
- Where future collaboration may be of benefit.
These pitch sessions are an opportunity to showcase an innovative idea in the early stage of its development. Participants are encouraged to hook and engage the audience with their presentation which will be judged by an expert panel who will award the top three pitches at the conclusion of the event.
Organised by the Defence Science Institute (DSI) in partnership with AMDA limited, the Defence Innovation Partnership (DIP) in SA, Defence Innovation Network (DIN) in NSW, Defence Science Centre (DSC) in WA, and Queensland Defence Alliance (QDSA), Innovation Pitchfest is free and open to all accredited Indo Pacific 2023 Trade Visitors and will take place on Wednesday 8 November at ICC Sydney.
