The Winners of the INDO PACIFIC 2022 Innovation Awards have been announced!

Three Australian innovators have been named winners of the INDO PACIFIC 2022 Innovation Awards. Their success was announced on Tuesday 26 April at a special online event hosted by the organiser of INDO PACIFIC 2022, the AMDA Foundation Limited.

The INDO PACIFIC 2022 Innovation Awards are sponsored by Kyndryl, global leaders in digital infrastructure.

  • INDO PACIFIC 2022 Defence SME Innovation Award HIGH COMMENDATION:

  • INDO PACIFIC 2022 Defence SME Innovation Award HIGH COMMENDATION:

  • INDO PACIFIC 2022 Young Innovator Award HIGH COMMENDATION:
    Mr Matthew Harrison, UAM Tec Pty Limited


The Awards, including two cheques for $15,000, will be presented to the winners and Highly Commended entrants from 1030 - 1130 on Tuesday 10 May in the Port Theatrette during the INDO PACIFIC 2022 International Maritime Exposition in Sydney, 10-12 May.

The INDO PACIFIC 2022 Innovation Awards attracted 15 entries from Australian companies and young researchers.

The INDO PACIFIC 2022 Innovation Awards were created by the AMDA Foundation Limited and driven by our altruistic purpose: to promote the development of Australia’s industrial, manufacturing and information/ communications technology resources in the fields of aviation, aerospace, maritime, defence and security. They recognise and reward innovation by Australian individuals and organisations at the forefront of defence innovation in products, services and business processes in the land domain.

They were presented for the first time six years ago at Avalon 2013. Since then some $425,000-worth of SME Innovation Grants and Young Innovator Awards have been presented. Today that total climbs to $455,000.
