Indo Pacific 2023 was the largest year yet, with record breaking success!

The three-day event recorded a little over 27,000 attendances across the three days, up from 25,000 in 2022.  This was in addition to:

• 832 participating exhibitor companies/organisations from 21 nations, across a sold-out exhibition floor 13% larger than our previous record event in 2022.
• 171 defence, industry, government and academic delegations, from 46 nations. This is a 48% increase over 2022.
• This included 25 International Chiefs of Navy or their counterparts and 21 representatives.
• More than 90 conferences, symposia and presentations across the three days of the event.

Justin Giddings, CEO of Indo Pacific 2023 organiser AMDA Foundation, said the numbers were impressive in their own right. But the main success of Indo Pacific 2023 was the quality of engagement amongst all who attended.

“The vibe around the halls was excellent and the exposure that Australian industry gained with both the Royal Australian Navy and international delegations was priceless,” he said.

Mr Giddings congratulated the Royal Australian Navy on its inaugural Navy Life Expo, which saw school students touring a specialist area showcasing Navy’s career opportunities, culture and leadership, training, lifestyle benefits and people, through interactive, youth-focused exhibits and demonstrations. 

“Another great highlight was the visit from Acting Prime Minister Richard Marles and his commitment to engaging with industry on the floor.”
Mr Giddings also paid his respects to Australian Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Mark Hammond.

“The Chief of Navy dedicated a great deal of time to talking with and listening to industry at Indo Pacific 2023. This direct engagement is critical to an understanding of the capabilities Navy seeks, and how industry may deliver them. We thank the Chief of Navy for his commitment in this area.”
